An exceptional opportunity exists for an accomplished and values-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead a respected national not-for-profit organisation delivering vital community services and creating meaningful outcomes for people, families and communities across Australia.
Based on the Gold Coast, this is a significant executive leadership opportunity for a CEO who can combine strategic vision, commercial acumen and authentic people leadership with a genuine commitment to social impact.
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will lead the organisation through its next chapter — strengthening its impact, ensuring long-term sustainability and building the capability, culture and partnerships required for continued success.
The Opportunity
As CEO, you will hold overall responsibility for the strategic, operational and financial performance of the organisation.
You will work closely with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to translate strategy into action, while ensuring the organisation remains responsive to the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
Your leadership will be critical in maintaining a strong, values-led culture while navigating the complexities of operating within a national, highly regulated and increasingly dynamic community services environment.
Key priorities will include:
- Providing clear strategic direction and leading the delivery of the organisation's long-term vision and objectives.
- Building a high-performing, connected and accountable leadership culture across a geographically dispersed organisation.
- Ensuring strong financial stewardship, operational performance, governance and risk management.
- Strengthening organisational capability, systems and infrastructure to support sustainable growth and service excellence.
- Developing influential relationships with government, funding bodies, community partners and other key stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation, partnerships and diversification that strengthen the organisation's reach and impact.
- Representing the organisation externally and advocating for the people and communities it supports.
- Working in close partnership with the Board, providing transparent advice, insight and reporting to support effective governance and decision-making.
About You You will be an experienced executive leader with the credibility and capability to lead a complex, purpose-driven organisation at scale.
While experience within the
not-for-profit, community services, human services or similarly regulated sectors will be highly regarded, equally important will be your ability to lead people, navigate complexity and balance social purpose with strong commercial and operational discipline.
You will bring:
- Significant senior executive leadership experience, ideally as a CEO, Executive Director or senior executive within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategy and leading organisations through growth, transformation or change.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience overseeing significant budgets and organisational performance.
- A sophisticated understanding of governance, risk, compliance and working effectively with a Board.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with government, sector partners, funders and diverse stakeholders.
- A contemporary, empowering and highly visible leadership style.
- The ability to bring people together around a shared purpose and create clarity, accountability and momentum.
- Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement capability.
- A genuine alignment with the values and purpose of the community services sector.
Above all, you will be a leader who understands that
strong organisations create stronger outcomes for communities.
For an experienced executive seeking their next significant leadership challenge — one that combines
purpose, complexity, influence and impact — this is an opportunity worth exploring.
