We are partnering with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Administrator to join their People & Culture team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, commencing immediately.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys process-driven work, loves keeping things organised, and takes pride in getting the details right. While previous HR experience is welcome, it's not essential. We are looking for an exceptional administrator who is proactive, tech-savvy and eager to learn.
About the Role
Working within a busy and supportive People & Culture team, you'll play a key role in ensuring new employees are onboarded smoothly, compliance requirements are met, employee records remain accurate, and staff receive timely support with everyday People & Culture enquiries.
You'll spend much of your day working within ELMO, preparing documentation, maintaining employee records, coordinating compliance activities, and responding to queries from employees across the organisation.
This is a high-volume administrative role, so you'll enjoy juggling multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating employee onboarding and induction processes
- Completing employment compliance checks, including Working With Children Checks and Police Checks
- Maintaining compliance trackers and employee records
- Preparing employment documentation and processing employee changes within ELMO.
- Entering and maintaining employee information within payroll systems
- Responding to People & Culture inbox enquiries relating to policies, leave entitlements and general employee questions
- Supporting the wider People & Culture team with a range of administrative tasks
- Following established procedures and proactively using process manuals and guides to find solutions
About You You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys administration and understands that the little details make a big difference.
You'll also bring:
- Strong administration experience in a busy environment
- Outstanding attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confidence learning and using HR or business systems (experience with ELMO will be highly regarded)
- A proactive approach to problem solving. You'll look for answers and use available resources before escalating
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities while remaining calm and organised
Previous experience in Human Resources or People & Culture is advantageous but not essential. If you're a capable administrator who enjoys systems, processes and supporting people, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer?

- Full-time, 5 days per week
- 6-month fixed-term contract
- Hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of two days per week in the Tweed Heads office and up to three days working from home
- Opportunity to work from a brand-new office on Wharf Street from mid-July
- Supportive and collaborative People & Culture team
