A well-established and growing not-for-profit organisation based in Lismore is seeking an experienced Finance Officer (Accounts Receivable) to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a purpose-driven organisation that has experienced significant growth and continues to make a real difference in the local community.

The Role
Working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm (or 8:00am - 12:00pm), you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day processing of accounts receivable activities. The morning banking process is a key priority, making this role ideal for someone who enjoys routine, accuracy and keeping things running efficiently.
This role is expected to commence immediately and is initially available for approximately two months, with the potential for extension.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily bank receipting and allocation of payments
• Processing tenant refunds
• Preparing and distributing routine finance reports
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Liaising daily with tenancy managers regarding rent receipts and payment information
• Providing general accounts receivable support to the finance team

About You
You'll be someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate work. You'll also be a clear and friendly communicator, as you'll work closely with internal stakeholders each day.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or Finance Officer role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Experience with daily banking and receipting processes
• Confident communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• The ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
• Experience using finance systems (experience with GreenTree is advantageous but not essential)
