We are seeking an experienced commercial property professional to lead the strategic development, commercialisation and optimisation of a diverse portfolio of property assets. From industrial land and commercial property through to community businesses and strategic investments, you'll identify opportunities, unlock revenue and help deliver long-term financial sustainability.

This is a newly created role where you'll have the autonomy to build commercial strategies, negotiate major deals and influence executive decision-making.

The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for identifying and delivering commercial opportunities across a substantial property and business portfolio. Some assets are underutilised, others have untapped development potential, and your role will be to determine how they can generate stronger financial returns while balancing community outcomes.

You'll work on initiatives such as:

• Developing strategies to maximise the value of a significant property portfolio.
• Driving commercial development opportunities, including industrial land subdivisions and sales.
• Assessing acquisitions, disposals, leasing and development opportunities.
• Negotiating complex commercial agreements and partnerships.
• Reviewing existing business operations—including facilities such as airports, quarries, cemeteries and recreation services—to identify opportunities for improved commercial performance.
• Preparing investment cases and commercial recommendations for executive leadership.
• Leading a small team while working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

About You
This role will suit someone who enjoys solving complex commercial problems and seeing projects through from concept to delivery.

You will bring:

• Significant experience in commercial property development, property investment or large-scale development projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify revenue-generating opportunities.
• Experience negotiating complex contracts, development agreements and commercial partnerships.
• A track record of delivering successful development or infrastructure projects.
• The confidence to work strategically with senior executives while also driving operational outcomes.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Development and construction experience, particularly involving industrial or commercial land, will be highly regarded.
