We're partnering with a well-established
national not-for-profit organisation that provides safe, affordable housing to thousands of Australians. They're looking for an experienced customer service professional to become the go-to support person for their Contact Centre team.
You'll spend your day coaching, mentoring and supporting a close-knit team of seven Customer Service Representatives while helping resolve more complex customer enquiries.
It's the perfect opportunity for someone who's ready to move beyond taking calls all day and start developing their leadership skills.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting and mentoring a team of Customer Service Representatives
- Being the first point of contact for escalated or more complex customer enquiries
- Coaching team members and sharing your knowledge to help build capability
- Monitoring call quality and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Jumping on the phones when required during busy periods
- Building positive relationships with colleagues across the organisation
About the role Your customers will primarily be tenants calling with enquiries relating to their homes, maintenance requests and tenancy matters. While many conversations are straightforward, some can be challenging and require empathy, patience and resilience.
You'll be someone who remains calm under pressure, enjoys solving problems and genuinely wants to support both customers and your teammates.
We're looking for someone with
- Experience in a customer service or contact centre environment
- A passion for coaching, mentoring and supporting others
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations
- Resilience, emotional intelligence and a positive attitude
- Experience handling escalated customer enquiries (highly regarded)
- Leadership, mentoring or informal coaching experience will be highly regarded, but isn't essential
