Are you passionate about supporting women impacted by domestic and family violence? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced
Program Worker to join a dedicated team in Tweed Heads on a short-term assignment, making a real difference in the lives of women and families in crisis.
This is a hands-on role where your empathy, professionalism, and ability to respond in complex situations will be highly valued.
About the Role In this role, you will provide frontline support to women experiencing domestic and family violence, working within a trauma-informed framework to ensure safety, empowerment, and respect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing practical and emotional support to clients
- Conducting risk assessments and safety planning
- Supporting women to access appropriate services and referrals
- Maintaining accurate case notes and documentation
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
About You You are a calm, resilient, and empathetic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, meaningful environment.
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience working in domestic and family violence, community services, or a similar field
- A strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and client-centred support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage complex and sensitive situations
- Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, or similar (desirable)
