The Shift People are partnering with a growing, values-led DVA and Disability Service provider to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations and support the next phase of business growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, where your ability to navigate the complexities of DVA and bring structure, compliance and operational excellence will be critical to success.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role within a small but growing organisation, where you will take ownership of operations across service delivery, compliance, systems and team leadership.

With a strong foundation already in place, there is significant opportunity to refine processes, strengthen compliance, and support growth across DVA-funded services, including Veteran Home Care and DVA Nursing.

Key Focus Areas

• Lead and oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient, compliant and high-quality service delivery
• Drive and embed DVA compliance frameworks, policies and procedures across the business
• Strengthen systems, processes and reporting to support scalable growth
• Partner with Service Delivery Managers to support a team of 50+ clinical staff and support workers
• Oversee operational performance including billing, funding and financial processes (Xero)
• Build strong internal structures across HR, systems and service delivery
• Contribute to business development and network growth within the DVA space

About You

This role requires a highly capable operator who understands that DVA is complex — and knows how to navigate it.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience working within DVA services (essential)
• Strong understanding of DVA funding models, billing and compliance requirements
• Proven experience in an Operations or Senior Leadership role within disability, community or healthcare services
• Ability to implement structure, systems and process improvements in a growing organisation
• Strong people leadership skills, with a supportive and accountable leadership style
• Commercial awareness, balanced with a genuine, human-first approach
• Experience with NDIS (highly regarded)
