Work where others holiday
Morning swim. Coffee by the beach. Meaningful work with a global, high-growth business.
At Fliteboard, this is all part of the day.
Fliteboard is an Australian-founded, globally expanding performance watercraft company redefining the way people move on water – across both powered and unpowered categories. Backed by Brunswick, the world’s largest marine group, we’re scaling quickly to match our ambition. We’re looking for a capable and ambitious People & Culture Advisor to join our team in Byron Bay HQ.
About the role:
This is a hands-on, People & Culture role where you’ll be trusted to own your space, build strong relationships, and deliver practical people solutions across the business.
This is not a purely transactional HR role.
You’ll work closely with leaders and employees, supporting everything from recruitment and onboarding to culture initiatives, employee relations, and people systems projects.
You’ll own core operations – but you’ll also be invited into the bigger conversations, gaining exposure to global workforce planning, systems transformation, integration initiatives, and culture evolution.
You’ll be supported by experienced P&C leadership and given real ownership
from day one.
Key responsibilities:
- Acting as a trusted first point of contact for employees and leaders on day-to-day People & Culture matters.
- Supporting performance, engagement, and development cycles, including leading drop-in sessions.
- Owning end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
- Contributing to People & Culture systems projects, including EVP, Workday recruitment, and payroll initiatives.
- Supporting culture, wellbeing, and engagement initiatives (including our Social Committee).
- Partnering with the business on WH&S, learning, and operational improvements.
- Ensuring compliant, accurate, and professional people documentation and processes.
About you: - Previous experience in a People & Culture Advisor or HR Generalist role
- Confident in providing practical People & Culture advice to leaders and employees.
- Strong experience across recruitment, onboarding, and core People & Culture processes.
- Solutions-focused, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously.
- Experience using People & Culture systems (Workday and/or Employment Hero, highly regarded).
- Exposure to awards, employee relations, and compliance is beneficial.
- Curious, proactive, and practical, you’ll enjoy working in a fast-moving, growing environment, where no two days are the same.
Why Fliteboard? - Byron Bay-based role with flexible working arrangements available.
- Work with a global business (100+ employees across Australia, the US, and Europe).
- Broad role with variety, ownership, and real impact.
- Backed by Brunswick – world-class marine expertise and infrastructure
- Direct exposure to leaders and meaningful projects.
- Direct mentorship and development in a high-performing P&C function.
- High energy culture, social events, and being part of an engaged team!
- Oh, and Fliteboarding, of course!
