This is a specialist opportunity for someone who genuinely loves data, reporting, compliance and systems, and wants to be the go-to expert in a purpose-driven, national community services organisation.
The Role This role exists to ensure the organisation has clear, accurate, insightful HR and WHS data that supports strong governance, informed decision-making and compliance across multiple reporting bodies.
Approximately 80% of this role is reporting, analytics and compliance, with the remaining time focused on documentation, systems and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
HR & WHS Reporting
Deliver cyclical and audit-ready HR and WHS reports for internal and external bodies
Produce high-quality reports for the Board, Executive and Governing bodies
Workforce reporting including headcount, turnover, recruitment activity and time-to-hire
WHS metrics, leave reporting and identification of excessive leave trends
Demographic reporting, including Workplace Gender Equality reporting
Data, Insights & Analytics
Translate HR data into meaningful insights — not just numbers
Identify trends, risks and opportunities using data and emerging AI tools
Support leaders to make informed, evidence-based decisions
Contribute to the evolution of this role into a future HR Analyst function
Policies, Procedures & Documentation
Maintain HR and WHS policies and procedures (with strong HR technical grounding)
Oversee document management systems, including structure, scheduling and version control
Ensure records are organised, accessible and audit-ready
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience in HR reporting, compliance, data or workforce analytics
Confidence working with HRIS, payroll and recruitment systems
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
Comfortable working autonomously and advising senior stakeholders
Curious, analytical mindset — you enjoy asking “what is this data really telling us?”
A genuine interest in how AI and analytics can improve HR decision-making.
