The OpportunityAs a Credit Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in the Credit Team, helping to optimise lending performance to align with the organisation’s strategic objectives. Your expertise will support business growth, financial sustainability, and risk mitigation through thorough credit assessments and compliance management.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct detailed credit assessments, ensuring all applications align with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Identify and manage risks associated with lending activities, implementing robust control measures.
- Perform risk assessments and maintain recovery plans for business interruptions or data breach events.
- Oversee vendor risk management, ensuring third-party suppliers comply with security and regulatory obligations.
- Ensure adherence to APRA Prudential Standards and other relevant financial regulations.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance credit policies and risk frameworks.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in lending and loans administration.
- Strong knowledge of banking systems and financial services regulations.
- A solid understanding of compliance frameworks, including the Financial Services Reform Act (FSR), Financial Transactions Reports Act, National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCA), and National Privacy Principles.
- Awareness of APRA Prudential Standards and their application in a lending environment.
- Strong analytical and credit assessment skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across various channels in a professional environment.
