We are partnering with a well-established, not-for-profit homelessness service to recruit a Regional Team Leader for the Fraser Coast region. This is a critical leadership role overseeing frontline programs supporting individuals, couples and families experiencing homelessness and housing crisis.
With recent growth in funding, service demand at an all-time high, and a newly restructured team, this role offers the opportunity to reset culture, strengthen systems, and build a high-performing, supportive team delivering life-changing outcomes in the community.
About the Role
You will lead a team of 6 direct reports across multiple homelessness programs:
- Outreach Program – supporting people sleeping rough
- Crisis Accommodation – 12 properties with intensive case management
- Immediate Housing Response Program – families & couples in temporary accommodation
- Administration / Customer Service Officer
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for day-to-day service delivery, team performance, risk management, compliance, reporting, and strong community engagement.
Key responsibilities - Lead, coach and support a multidisciplinary frontline team
- Set clear expectations around professional practice, processes and client service standards
- Oversee intake, service delivery, emergency relief and brokerage approvals
- Manage incidents, safety planning and complex client situations
- Conduct regular case reviews, supervision, debriefs and performance conversations
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to funding bodies and internal stakeholders
- Monitor program budgets and brokerage expenditure
- Build strong relationships with local services, government departments and community partners
- Drive cultural change, accountability and consistency following recent organisational restructure
About You You don’t need to be a homelessness expert —
strong leadership is the priority.
You will bring:
- Proven experience leading teams in community services, human services, health or a similar sector
- A calm, structured and solutions-focused leadership style
- Strong understanding of case management environments and compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to balance empathy with accountability
- Experience with government-funded programs and reporting (highly regarded)
- Knowledge of QHIP / SHIP systems (advantageous but not essential).
