A large corporation is seeking the services of a qualified Senior Risk & Governance Manager to strengthen the enterprise-wide risk management capabilities and ensure robust compliance and governance processes.

This engagement will develop and enhance the risk architecture, with a focus on both strategic and operational risk management.

Scope of Work Includes:

• Designing a fit-for-purpose Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including a comprehensive Risk Management Policy and Plan.
• Developing a Material Risk Register capturing key risks, appetite statements, and risk indicators.
• Updating Business Unit Risk Registers and supporting enterprise-wide risk reporting.
• Ensuring the Risk Management System is complete, accurate, and enables effective risk tracking.
• Building internal capability by developing and enhancing overall risk maturity within the organisation.
• Reviewing and updating Risk Management Policies and Procedures to reflect best practice.
• Delivering regular Risk Reporting packs for executive leadership and business units.
• Facilitating risk management workshops with wider business units.
• Developing a strategic Risk Assurance Map, encompassing systems, processes, policies, and audit activities.
• Updating compliance registers to ensure accurate alignment with statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Supporting additional risk-related initiatives.

This is a critical initiative that will help position the organisation for operational resilience and strategic assurance.

About you: 

• Proven experience developing and implementing enterprise risk frameworks in a state/federal government, higher education and or corporate setting.
• Strong understanding of risk governance, reporting, and compliance obligations.
• Ability to engage and train stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience facilitating workshops and presenting to executive teams.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work flexibly and adapt to organisational needs.
• A commitment to strengthening risk maturity and supporting sustainable governance practices.
