Our client, a well-established financial services organisation, is seeking an Operations Support / Data Analyst to join their team on a 4-month temporary basis, working 3 days per week.
This role sits at the intersection of operations, data analysis and frontline support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys analysing information, improving processes, and supporting teams to operate smoothly.
About the Role
Reporting to a locally based Manager in Lismore, you will play a key role in supporting retail banking operations by gathering and analysing data, monitoring operational performance, and providing practical insights and support to frontline teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Gathering, analysing and interpreting operational and banking data
- Identifying trends and generating regular reports and summaries
- Providing insights, recommendations and follow-up briefings
- Monitoring day-to-day operational processes to ensure things run smoothly
- Supporting operational issues (e.g. ATM outages and escalation pathways)
- Assisting with compliance and regulatory checks
- Supporting change initiatives, including communications to frontline teams
- Interpreting policies and procedures and assisting branch teams with queries
- Liaising with internal teams such as core banking, product and digital banking.
Data analysis will focus on areas such as branch transaction volumes, peak periods, lending activity, and sources of loans.
About you You’ll be someone who enjoys working with data but also understands the importance of clear communication and operational support.
You will bring:
- Experience in operations support and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights
- Confidence producing regular reports and summaries for stakeholders
- Solid capability across the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Exposure to complex data environments (highly regarded)
- A collaborative, practical and solutions-focused approach
You’ll be joining a small, supportive operations team, working closely with locally based and remote colleagues across retail operations, product and digital banking.
While the role is based in
Lismore, flexibility may be considered for
partial remote work, provided you can attend Lismore initially for onboarding and training.
