To support this next chapter, EAC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead the operational functions of the College.
About the Role
This newly created position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the College. Reporting to the Business Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee three key departments – IT, Administration, and Maintenance – with responsibility for around 20 staff across a diverse range of operational activities.
The role has been designed to free up senior leadership capacity by taking ownership of the operational rhythm, systems, and processes that underpin the College’s success. It’s a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems on the ground, and driving continuous improvement across a busy school environment.
You’ll be a confident decision-maker who can balance strategic oversight with practical execution, ensuring that daily issues are resolved quickly and effectively. You’ll also play a key role in major infrastructure and technology projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop three department managers across IT, Administration, and Maintenance, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Oversee the effective delivery of operational services, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with College goals.
- Drive the implementation of systems, processes, and reporting frameworks that improve transparency and accountability.
- Manage and support significant projects.
- Promote proactive facilities management through data-led reporting and dashboard development for the College Council’s Facilities and Future Development Committee.
- Guide and mentor managers at different levels of leadership maturity, fostering professional development and capability growth.
- Champion change initiatives and continuous improvement across operational teams, ensuring best-practice and innovative solutions.

- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing through change.

- A collaborative and data-driven approach, with an eye for efficiency, systems improvement, and quality delivery.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organisation.
