We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional
Bookkeeper to work 16-20 hours per week, with the flexibility to spread these hours across 3 or 4 days to suit your schedule. This is an
office-based role in Tweed Heads, perfect for someone who enjoys collaborating with others while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
About the Role In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our client's financial operations and ensuring that their reporting and compliance obligations are met. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collating client information with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assisting in the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
- Preparing regular financial reports to provide insights and updates.
- Supporting tax compliance, including annual tax returns and annual payroll reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
About You We are looking for a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant who can hit the ground running. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a Bookkeeping or Assistant Accountant role.
- A strong understanding of debits and credits in bookkeeping.
- Exposure to reviewing transactions and preparing quarterly BAS and financial statements.
- Ideally you will have previous experience in taxation accounting however this is not mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of Xero or MYOB software.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- A professional and friendly manner, with excellent communication skills.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
