Reporting to the Chief Corporate & Community Officer (CCCO), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing service delivery, driving transformational change, and fostering a high-performance culture.
About the Role
As the Head of Corporate Services, you will:
- Oversee the delivery of core corporate functions, including People & Culture (Organisational Development and Learning & Development), Information and Technology Services, and Business Improvement (Business Analysts).
- Provide strategic direction, innovation, and leadership to support organisational goals and align with legislative requirements.
- Lead the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, templates, and technologies to raise service delivery standards and manage risk.
- Champion organisational values and drive a high-performance culture that prioritises quality customer service and economic development.
- Build and nurture a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
About You To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Leadership, or a related field.
- High-level leadership and change management capabilities.
- Proven experience in the management and implementation of People & Culture/HR practices.
- Strong expertise in managing Information and Technology Services.
- A track record as a strategic thinker with significant experience in policy development and providing high-level advice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex programs and projects.
- Excellent governance, influencing, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and industrial relations experience.
- A sound understanding of risk, audit, and compliance requirements in a local government context.
- Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strategic relationships internally and externally.
