Maluka Partners are a fast growing, progressive farming family based in Keith. They are innovative in their approach to business and have significantly expanded their operation in recent years.
They are currently seeking an experienced, innovative Broadacre Cropping Lead to join their supportive team.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for you to oversee the practical execution of the broader cropping program, allowing the Farm Manager to focus on the lucerne seed enterprise. You would be the trusted right hand and a key part of the team.

They are also offering a beautiful four-bedroom farm home, complete with a pool and tennis court as your on farm accommodation. The home is located approximately 3km from Keith, offering the convenience of town living while remaining nearby to the farming operation.
Key responsibilities of the role include: - Leading cropping operations including seeding, spraying, hay and harvest
- Operating and maintaining modern machinery including tractors, the air seeder, headers and a self-propelled sprayer
- Implementing agronomic programs and liaising with agronomists and contractors
- Maintaining paddock records and chemical application documentation
- Managing machinery maintenance and presentation
- Supporting general farm operations when required
- Being on the roster for summer irrigation scheduling, including availability outside standard hours when irrigation cycles require monitoring or adjustment
- Supporting lucerne and livestock operations as required
- Passing on skills to the other team members
This role requires you to be a self-starter, be comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for outcomes.
About you:
You are someone who is loyal, passionate about farming and operating machinery, and is forward thinking in your approach. You enjoy ag-tech and learning about new and innovative farming solutions. You will bring solid practical experience and have a calm and dependable approach to all operations.
What you will bring: - Minimum 5 years - experience in broadacre farming systems
- An in-depth knowledge of cropping and how crops grow
- Extensive experience operating large machinery and self-propelled sprayers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- The ability to manage priorities and work with autonomy
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team
- An interest in regional living and contributing to the local community
- An interest in using modern farm technology, with a willingness to work with multiple farm apps and digital systems
A ChemCert and current driver’s licence are required.
