Our client is an established and highly successful small business accountants who are looking for an Accountant to join their professional and friendly team. This is a fixed term contract for 10 months (possibly longer). The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate, timely, and tax compliant accounting services. This includes:
Data entry of accounting transactions
Preparing full financial statements and workpapers
Preparing annual accounts
Preparing GST, PAYE and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, rental properties, and individuals
Weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll for clients
Providing accurate accounting services and support for clients, using Xero and MYOB. Knowledge of CCH iFirm is an advantage.
To be successful you must have:
Proven experience preparing and filing tax returns (Income, GST and PAYE)
Intermediate skills in payroll (Xero)
The ability to hit the ground running with strong Xero and MYOB experience.
Excellent time and numeracy skills
Excellent communication, with clear English
