Reporting directly to the Business Manager, you'll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team in a key role shaping, protecting, and promoting the reputation of the school.
This is an exciting role for an experienced marketing and communications professional, as it combines strategic leadership and advisory functions with hands on delivery across the full marketing and communications mix. This includes:
Strategic & Leadership
Advise the senior leadership team on marketing and communications strategy
Write speeches for the Principal and senior leadership team
Report on the marketing and communications budget
Content & Publications
Draft, edit and proofread parent communication, staff updates, and school announcements — ensuring brand consistency
Edit and produce the fortnightly school newsletter and articles for the local community monthly magazine
Manage publicity and media liaison, including writing press releases
Brand & Digital
Manage the school brand, promotional material, and website
Run social media, marketing campaigns, and event promotion
Coordinate school photo and video shoots
To be successful, you will need:
A relevant degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or Journalism
5+ years' experience in communications, marketing, or PR, with a flair for storytelling in both writing and producing marketing material
A natural ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships across a school community
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with WordPress, Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Mailchimp would be an advantage
High attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
Confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement when handling sensitive school and family matters
A warm, down-to-earth approach and a good sense of humour
