Our client is an established and highly successful small business accountants who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their professional and friendly team. This is a permanent part time role. The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate, timely, and tax compliant accounting services. This includes:
Full preparation and completion of financial statements, tax returns and workpapers for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Sole Traders.
Proven experience in conducting an internal review of another accountants prepared accounts (peer review).
Preparing annual accounts
Preparing GST, PAYE and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, rental properties, and individuals
Client liaison via phone, email and in person
Providing accurate accounting services and support for clients, using Xero and MYOB and CCH iFirm.
To be successful you must have:
Accounting qualification and in depth understanding of accounting principles
Strong Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office skills, and experience with workpapers.
In-depth understanding of NZ tax legislation.
Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
The ability to hit the ground running and work independently.
Excellent time management and numeracy skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal), with clear English
