We're recruiting for a long-established sub-contract manufacturing business with decades of experience and a strong reputation for quality. Based in central Scotland, the company continues to grow by investing in its people, its machine shop, and its processes.
 
 
What The Role Actually Involves
 
You'll be setting, programming and operating CNC lathes using FANUC controls, producing precision components across a mix of work — from one-off parts to medium-volume batches.
 
This is a practical, hands-on role where you're trusted to:
 

• Set and program CNC lathes efficiently and accurately
• Select tooling and cutting parameters appropriate to the job
• Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards
• Inspect and measure finished parts before release
• Communicate clearly between shifts to keep work flowing

 
There's a strong focus on doing the job right, improving how things are done, and keeping the machine shop running smoothly.

You'll likely be a good fit if you:
 

• Are time-served or experienced as a CNC Turner
• Have strong experience with FANUC-controlled lathes
• Can confidently read and work from engineering drawings
• Understand tooling, cutting parameters and efficient setups
• Take pride in quality, accuracy and consistency

 
 
Hours
 

• Monday-Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm (early finish)
