Lead QHSE across a regulated engineering site, driving safety, compliance, quality and continuous improvement.
QHSE Manager | 2-year FTC | Fife | circa £55k - £65k
Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing business operating in a highly regulated sector, is looking for an experienced and proactive QHSE Manager to support their Fife site.
This is an opportunity to take full ownership of QHSE activities, champion continuous improvement, and positively shape the standards and culture of a respected production facility.
Reporting to the Site Operations Director, you'll lead the development and delivery of robust QHSE governance, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, customer requirements, and internal standards. With the site operating as a full-production environment supplying specialist engineered products, the role is predominantly focused on HSE (around 70%), while also overseeing the Quality function (around 30%).
You'll manage local emergency response planning, support investigations into incidents, coordinate HSE training, maintain environmental and HSE compliance registers, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business. You'll also guide and develop team capability during a period of transition, helping to strengthen QHSE performance and culture across the site.
The ideal candidate will bring degree-level education or equivalent experience, along with proven management expertise in QHSE within engineering, manufacturing, defence, or other regulated environments. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence at all levels are essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a forward-thinking organisation committed to safety, quality and operational excellence.
