CNC Turner | Fife | Permanent | £27k - £34k

Located in Fife and supplying to various industries including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Aerospace, our client is a sub-contract precision manufacturer and is continuing to experience significant growth. As a result, they are recruiting a CNC Turner to join their experienced and highly motivated team.


The Role

You will be responsible for setting, programming (Fanuc) and operating machines to produce components to a high standard in the most efficient / cost effective manner. You will ensure that information is transferred between shifts and team members as required, be committed to continuous improvement and suggest improvements regarding methods, processes and tooling. Specific responsibilities will also include:

• Preparing & loading raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Preparing test runs to check that outputs are to specification.
• Setting machines to fabricate a large number of parts.
• Inspect and measure finished products.

 
In this role, you will work 40 hours per week over 4 days (Monday – Thursday), with regular overtime available.


The Candidate

This position will suit someone with excellent knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and experience of using Fanuc controls. Specific experience should include tool selection, cutting tool parameters, manual machining techniques, setting and operating a range of CNC machine tools.
