Sales & Marketing Coordinator | Permanent | Midlothian | circa £30k
 
Our client is a specialist engineering company that designs and delivers bespoke solutions for underwater and subsea environments. Serving global markets, their custom-built systems regularly command six-figure price tags and are engineered to order.
 
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys both the structure of process management and the creativity of communication. You'll be central to managing inbound and outbound sales activity, supporting proposal submissions, and ensuring our sales and marketing materials are engaging and up to date. Although the role will primarily be based in the Midlothian HQ, there will be the opportunity to attend trade conferences and exhibitions in the UK and overseas.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full sales process lifecycle from initial enquiry through to proposal submission
• Respond promptly and professionally to all inbound sales enquiries
• Conduct outbound sales activity, following up with prospects and nurturing relationships (note: this is not a hard-sell role)
• Create and distribute compelling sales literature and marketing materials
• Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and engineering team to develop and submit proposal documents
• Contribute to updating and managing website content
• Assist with general sales administration and CRM updates
• Any other duties as required by the business.

 
 
Key Skills & Attributes:

• Proactive and self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude
• Confident communicator via phone, email, and video calls.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable using digital tools and platforms (e.g. Canva, CRM)
• Knowledge or interest in engineering is desirable but not essential
• Creative eye for visual presentation and branding would be an advantage

 
 
Experience:

• Previous experience in a sales support, marketing, or business development role preferred
• Experience working in a B2B or technical environment advantageous but not essential
