Machinist (CNC & Manual) | Permanent | West Lothian | circa £38k
 
 
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Machinist to join a well-established engineering company involved in the production of precision components for a range of specialised industries.
 
Based in West Lothian, this hands-on role involves setting and operating both manual and CNC machinery, working to precise specifications, and ensuring all quality standards are met. You’ll be interpreting technical drawings, using precision measuring instruments, and playing a key role in the manufacture and final inspection of critical components.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Set up and operate machines (CNC & Manual) to achieve tight tolerances
• Interpret engineering drawings and process sheets
• Complete required documentation and quality checks
• Support safe working practices and contribute to ongoing safety audits
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, TPM, 6S)

 
About You:
 
You’ll bring solid experience from an engineering environment, strong numeracy, and confidence working with machine tools and quality systems. An eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality are essential. You should have experience using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
 
 
Hours:
 
37 hours per week across a 3-shift rotation (early, back, and night shift).
