Accounts Payable Clerk | Glasgow | Permanent | circa £26,000
 
 
We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client, a multi-national engineering business, and support the smooth operation of their finance function.
 
 
Your Role:
 
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. You’ll work closely with vendors, internal teams, and our Accounts Payable Supervisor to maintain efficient financial processes.
 
 
What You’ll Be Doing:
 

• Processing invoices, matching them with purchase orders, and ensuring timely payments
• Handling supplier and vendor queries via phone and email
• Managing expense and credit card claims in line with company policy
• Performing supplier statement reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Running reports to maintain accurate financial records
• Supporting month-end tasks and weekly system reconciliations
• Assisting with reception duties, including greeting visitors and handling mail

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or Finance
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Confident using multiple accounting systems
• Manufacturing sector experience (desirable but not essential)
