Electrical Maintenance Technician | Ayrshire | Permanent | circa £32,000
 
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our client, a multi-national supplier of engineering solutions to the energy industry. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that plant and equipment are maintained in accordance with all company and statutory requirements.
 
 
The Role

• Maintenance Scheduling: Produce documentary evidence and perform scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment in line with legislative requirements, ensuring accurate and prompt updates to maintenance data records.
• Breakdown Response: Respond swiftly to machine and plant equipment breakdowns, execute necessary repairs, and report the cause of breakdowns.
• Documentation and Improvement: Provide evidence of plant and equipment breakdowns along with documented improvement recommendations.
• Work Organisation: Maintain a systematic and methodical approach to work organisation, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards and providing visible evidence of compliance.
• Technical Understanding: Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings, both mechanical and electrical.

The role is Day Shift, working the following hours:
 
Monday to Thursday - 7.30am to 4.30pm & Fridays 7.30am to 12.30pm

• Electrical and Mechanical Expertise: Electrical knowledge with some mechanical knowledge.        
• Technical Qualifications: Traditional apprenticeship coupled with appropriate technical qualifications; City & Guilds/ONC/HNC in Electrical Maintenance.
• Experience: Experience with machine tools and CNC controls.
• Certifications: IEE Regulation 18th edition certified is advantageous.
