Technical Author | Midlothian | Permanent or Contract | £35k - £50k (Depending on exp.)
 
Our client, a growing supplier of high-reliability products for the offshore sector, is seeking a Technical Author to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in documenting and delivering high-quality technical manuals for their existing product range.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain technical manuals, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Work closely with engineers, product designers, and technical teams to gather information.
• Translate complex technical data into user-friendly documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage document revisions and version control.

• Previous experience as a Technical Author, ideally within engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to interpret engineering documentation.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar.
