Commissioning Engineer – Gas Peaking Plant.
You know commissioning. We know you’re busy. So let’s cut to it.

We’re looking for a Commissioning Engineer who’s not just good with gas engines, turbines, and pipework—but someone who knows how to own the commissioning process from start to finish.
This isn’t a box-ticking role. It’s about making sure everything works, works safely, and works on time. You’ll be the one pulling the strings, coordinating with engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to get the job done right.
What you’ll actually be doing:

• Commissioning the full kit: gas engines, turbines, exhausts, pipework, and Balance of Plant gear.
• Keeping the commissioning programme tight and on track—no drift, no surprises.
• Making sure documentation isn’t just complete, but useful.
• Being the go-to on site for subcontractors and project teams.
• Spotting issues before they become problems—and solving them.
• Ensuring safety isn’t just a priority, it’s a habit.
• Closing out packages properly, with QA nailed and snagging sorted.

What we’re looking for:

• You’ve done this before—ideally in CCGT, Gas Peaking, or similar power sector projects.
• You speak commissioning fluently and can translate project plans into real-world results.
• You’ve got the right cards: HNC/HND/BTEC or equivalent, plus CSCS or ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport.
