Quantity Surveyor – Major Renewable Infrastructure Projects (UK-Based)

Berkshire Talent Partnership is proud to be working with a leading Independent Power Producer delivering some of the UK’s most ambitious energy infrastructure projects. With over 2GW currently under construction or in operation, and a 14GW+ pipeline at advanced stages of development, this is a business scaling rapidly to meet the demands of a net zero future.
As part of their expanding commercial team, we’re hiring Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of large-scale renewable energy assets—including battery energy storage systems, hydrogen-ready thermal power plants, and green hydrogen electrolysis facilities. These projects involve high-value civils, M&E, and specialist packages under NEC3 and NEC4 frameworks.
Your Role

• Manage multiple work packages from inception through to final account.
• Prepare cost estimates, tender documentation, and contract administration.
• Lead procurement processes and monitor project costs against budget.
• Administer applications for payment and assess Compensation Events.
• Provide accurate cost forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Attend project sites and work closely with Project and Commercial Managers to maximise project success.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.
• Experience in civils, M&E, or renewable infrastructure projects within a contractor or consultancy environment.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project cost management tools.
