Contracts Manager, £10m plus, NEC3 and NEC4
The Contracts Manager will play a key role in ensuring the effective drafting, negotiation, and administration of contracts across major infrastructure and energy projects. Acting as a central interface between the Commercial (Quantity Surveying) team, Legal Counsel, and external consultants, this role is responsible for managing contracts related to subcontracted works and services—primarily under NEC3 and NEC4 frameworks.
The position demands strong contractual expertise, particularly in managing high-value consultancy, design, civil engineering, and specialist M&E packages.
Key Responsibilities
-Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for subcontractors, consultants, and service providers, with a focus on NEC-based agreements. -Coordinate contract matters across internal teams (Commercial, Legal, Procurement, and Project Delivery) and external advisors. -Ensure all contracts are commercially viable, legally compliant, and aligned with project objectives. -Support procurement strategy, commercial risk management, and dispute resolution processes. -Manage contract records and documentation in accordance with internal governance and compliance procedures. -Advise internal stakeholders on contract interpretation, risks, and best practice approaches. -Contribute to process improvements related to contract management and governance.
