The Role:
An excellent opportunity has become available as a full-time Finance Officer to join a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team based in Scoresby, Victoria.
Reporting into the Finance Team Leader, this position offers the ability to use your broad financial administration experience and provides an excellent opportunity for growth and development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the business with the preparation of reports and data entry
- Maintaining accurate financial reports and records such as employee timesheet activity
- Assisting the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
- Ensuring processes are compliant with company procedures and invoices are paid on-time
- Entering purchase requisitions for the Laboratory Team and raising purchase orders
- Processing credit card payments from Clients
- Performing basic accounting duties involving general ledger journals (intercompany invoices)
- Assisting with Asset Management including submitting and preparing capex approval forms
- Other ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as required
About you The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience working in a Finance Administrative role will be highly regarded
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational and time management skills
- A high level of computer literacy, specifically Microsoft programs (training is provided for internal systems)
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to collect, interpret and manage data efficiently and accurately
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with a high level of attention to detail
- Well presented with a friendly team manner
