ALS is seeking a Client Services Officer - Technical Lead to join the Client Services team as part of our Environmental division in Stafford, Brisbane. This role focuses on providing Account Management support to key ALS QLD clients including providing technical support, managing client relationships, and driving laboratory analysis revenue. You’ll support project delivery, resolve complex client queries, and contribute to internal engagement initiatives for a key list of clients. The ideal candidate will have a science background, strong communication skills, and experience in environmental consulting or analysis.
The day to day
The ALS Client Services team work closely with our clients providing quality service in the form of technical and analytical advice as well as facilitating project delivery through effective communication and project management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Client support and relationship building, including ‘face to face’ client meetings and technical presentations
- Facilitating the resolution of client queries providing detailed technical explanations
- Identifying and working with new and existing clients to increase laboratory analysis revenue
- Project implementation and monitoring ‘managed’ projects through the laboratory
- Provide mentoring and guidance to Rotational Lead staff within the Client Services team
The essentials To be successful you will require:
Bachelor of Science (Microbiology/Chemistry/Environmental or equivalent)
- Ability to meet with key client in support of growing business with ALS
- Strong customer service focus with a drive to go the extra mile
- Proactive ‘can do’ attitude to deliver solutions to our clients
- Commitment to ‘quality without compromise’ in line with our Quality Management System
- Strong organisation and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in the use of and ability to learn new computer applications, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
- Knowledge of Environmental consulting, mining, contaminated land and/or coal seam gas analysis
It is envisaged that this person will be a self-motivated person who understands the industry, business and client requirements and who will be capable of advising clients and staff on the technical aspects of environmental analysis.
