About the Position
ALS Coal are looking for a Laboratory Assistant who can work a permanent position based at the Callide Mine site.
The position is based on a rotating lifestyle shift roster (day/night). If you have a drive to produce quality results join our team.
Day to Day
- Conducting routine coal sampling and testing
- A range of physical tests including, sizing, crushing, dividing samples
- Coal Preparation
- Despatch – Loading and unloading samples from various plant streams
- Day to day Laboratory duties
- Assisting with sample preparation and analysis
- Maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborating with team members across different sites as required
- Travel to other mine sites as part of the shift
- Manual handling
Skills/Qualifications: - Previous experience in a Laboratory or mine setting would be advantageous not essential
- Can do attitude is a must
- Flexible and adaptable to work extra shifts
- A strong focus on safety & Quality
- Ability work alone and un-supervised at times.
- Driver's License
- Must be able to wear full PPE
- Good Organisation and Communication Skills
