ALS Food & Pharmaceutical Division operates a modern laboratory at Rydalmere, Sydney that is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. The division is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to become a part of the Microbiology team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with their clients.

This is a permanent position with the full-time hours Monday to Friday 10.45am to 7pm. 
  
The day to day 

• Routine sample preparation of microbiology analysis. 
• Calibration of equipment  
• Performing calculations when conducting analytical preparations. 
• Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type and sample behaviour to the Supervisor 
• Perform media production and stock control as required. 
• Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies. 
• Ensuring that analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with the ALS Quality Systems. 
• Controlling consumable stock requirements 
• Day to day Laboratory duties   

  
The Essentials 

• Previous experience in a Laboratory – good chemical knowledge (Microbiology)  
• Excellent organisational skills 
• Team oriented, with the ability to work autonomously 
• Strong focus on Quality and good attention to detail  
• Good chemical knowledge 
• Science degree or Diploma
