Based out of our Bowen Hills and Stafford offices, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on recruitment, primarily for our diverse business streams on the east coast of Australia, where you’ll support our leaders to fill challenging roles across scientific and corporate environments. You’ll use your creative sourcing strategies to build and nurture talent pools and develop relationship with external partners (Uni’s, TAFE) to build our brand and find talent. This is an exciting time to join our HR team as we transform our function, embark on new ways of working and implement new systems.
The Talent Acquisition team is an integral part of this transformation as we aim to improve our services and advice to the business. There is a lot going on so we need someone who can work at pace, is creative, resilient, and passionate about recruitment, with a focus on providing candidates with an excellent experience. Our team is fun and geographically dispersed, and we encourage diversity and flexible ways of working. You’ll also be able to learn from our global HR colleagues to share ideas, strategies, and new ways of working.
The day to day
- Sourcing hard to fill roles in the Science industry, using multiple attraction methods and various tools to proactively find candidates. E.g. LinkedIn, Seek, and referrals and other relevant advertising methods.
- Build talent pools to continually enable a strong pipeline of talent.
- Drafting and posting advertisements that attract and engage candidates for positions.
- Provide advice and education to our leaders on interviewing and assessment techniques.
- Collaborate with the broader HR team to support and manage activities within scope.
- Build relationships with external organisations such as Universities, TAFE, Schools to build brand awareness and engage with future talent.
- Provide insights to the team and business on Market Trends.
- Successfully manage candidates from application through to onboarding whilst providing an exceptional experience.
- Where required lead volume recruitment campaigns including assessment centres.
About you You will be innovative; and will think ahead of the game. You’ll have a high level of accountably and enjoy the challenge of finding fantastic talent to join our team. You will have a strong customer service ethic and be a team player.
The Essentials - Excellent communication and stakeholder and candidate management skills.
- Previous experience within an internal recruitment team
- A passion for sourcing and securing the best talent in the market and providing a great candidate experience.
- Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders using a consultative approach.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a team, and proactive approach to resolve challenges and chase opportunities.
- Successfully manage multiple streams of work and juggle competing priorities.
- A proactive approach to prioritise your workload and plan.
- Qualifications in Business/Human Resources or related field (desirable).
- Above all else you will have a positive and a proactive attitude, with a sense of urgency and you will believe in working hard but having a lot of fun along the way!
