Are you an organized, client-focused professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service?
We are looking for a Client Services Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting our clients and laboratory operations. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for preparing quotations, tenders, and Expressions of Interest (EOIs), conducting market research, and assisting clients with technical guidance and method selection. You’ll actively market our services through client interactions, attend industry conferences, and ensure seamless communication between internal teams and external clients. With strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality service, you’ll also manage client sample orders, coordinate subcontractor assessments, and support promotional activities.
If you have a tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering or 5 years of industry experience, combined with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach, we’d love to hear from you!
The day to day
- Preparation of quotations, tenders and Expressions of Interest (EOI).
- Conducting market research.
- Preparation and review of monthly service reports for major clients and projects.
- Actively marketing the services of the laboratory through phone, on-site and off-site client contact.
- Preparing for and attending relevant conferences, promoting ALS at trade exhibitions and liaising with clients.
- Assisting clients with appropriate method selection and offering technical guidance (in areas of expertise).
- Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of divisional client listings.
- Assessing and sourcing Laboratory Subcontractors as required.
- Following up client invoice queries.
- Organising client sample bottle orders.
- Assisting in the preparation and distribution of promotional material (newsletters, Christmas cards and function invitations etc).
- Organising client sample pickups.
- Coordination of sample receipt department duties (optional-site specific).
- Coordination of bottle preparation/freight department duties (optional-site specific).
- Ensuring the use of up-to-date documentation for use by the Client Services Team.
The Essentials: - A tertiary Science or Engineering qualification and/or 5 years’ industry experience.
- A good understanding of Laboratory Operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive client focus and quality service attitude.
- Skills in planning and project monitoring.
- Strong numerical and office software skills.
- Responsive to internal and external client needs.
- Team orientated and collaborative.
