The Role
The laboratory based in Smithfield is searching for casual laboratory Technicians. ALS offers exciting career opportunities in a successful, growing Australian-owned company with genuine global coverage.
The successful applicants will receive training and support in the technical components and procedures of the role and a wide variety of laboratory processes associated with working in a modern laboratory.
About the role/The day to day
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and performing laboratory testing
- Preparing analytical reports
- Demonstrating eagerness to learn and willingness to take on additional tasks as directed
- Working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-production environment
- Diligently following safety standards, testing methods and quality processes
The EssentialsTo be successful in this role you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated work experience in a similar discipline (including TAFE certificates and diplomas)
- Worked in a similar production laboratory environment
- A positive work attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and be a great team player
- Confident communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to reorganise priorities quickly
- Diligence in dealing with data and details and intermediate knowledge of MS applications
