The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Laboratory Technician to join our team on a casual basis. The role involves preparing and analysing water and soil samples, interpreting results, and ensuring data accuracy through LIMS. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining metals analysis equipment (ICP-MS, ICP-OES), meeting strict turnaround times, and adhering to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and thrives both independently and in a collaborative environment. 
  
The day to day
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Sample Preparation
• Analysis of Water and Soils
• Interpretation and Result entry into LIMS
• Ensuring that the quality of work is maintained in accordance with QWIs
• Meeting turn-around requirements
• Preparation and running metals samples (ICP-MS, ICP-OES)
• Adhering to all safety requirements
