The role
An opportunity now exists at our environmental division at Stafford for a Client Services Officer - Rotational Lead to join our successful Client Services team.
We seek a self-motivated person willing to learn the industry, business, and our client requirements.
This is a full-time position and as part of the ALS Client Services team you will be working directly with our valued clients and providing excellent customer service.
The day to day
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greet and support clients’ needs leveraging phone, email and face to face service and communication skills
- Promptly answer phone calls and emails professionally to support client enquiries
- Liaising with the bottle dispatch team to complete tasking of client container order requests
- Preparation of quotations through the LIMS and assisting with tender and expressions of interest preparation
- Coordinating the receipt and dispatch of client samples to ALS Environmental laboratories, including liaising with laboratory staff when urgent samples are received
- Working with internal stakeholders to complete investigations through the ALS Quality Management System
- Occasionally assisting with sorting, packing, labelling, and distributing samples by courier or for pick up
- Liaise with clients (internal and external) regarding sample submissions and related queries
- Join and nurture a team culture to best support each other and our clients’ priorities.
The essentials The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- A positive, responsive customer focus and quality service attitude with a professional attitude
- A strong passion and interest in learning
- Strong, consistent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work without compromise
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite
- An ability to multitask, to process multiple concurrent requests efficiently and accurately
- An ability and interest in working autonomously, whilst leveraging and investing in team connection and priorities
- An understanding or interest in learning and delivering laboratory safety protocols in the handling of chemical hazards
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- Solutions driven & hard working
- Ability to absorb and retain high levels of information
- High level of flexibility regarding hours/availability
