Blokhaus is seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources / Recruitment Specialist to join our growing team. This role is critical to ensuring we maintain high hiring standards through thorough vetting, interviewing, and candidate screening processes.
  
About the Role
In this role, you will take ownership of the recruitment lifecycle with a strong focus on candidate quality and compliance. You will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and securing top talent while ensuring every candidate meets both client and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough candidate vetting, including background checks, reference checks, and documentation review
• Lead structured and behavioural interviews to assess candidate suitability
• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and platforms
• Perform detailed screening of applications to shortlist high-quality candidates
• Ensure candidates meet all role requirements, including skills, experience, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with the management team to identify suitable candidates
• Liaise with immigration consultants to support visa and compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate records of candidate evaluations and recruitment activity
• Manage candidate communications professionally and efficiently throughout the recruitment process

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in recruitment, HR, or talent acquisition
• Strong experience in interviewing, vetting, and screening candidates (this is essential)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to assess candidate suitability critically
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
• Knowledge of compliance requirements (e.g. right to work, documentation checks) is highly regarded
