About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hammerhand to join our team at Blokhaus in Christchurch. This role offers multiple carpentry opportunities, including work on architectural, residential, and commercial sites. As a key member of our construction team, you will contribute to the delivery of premium quality homes and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist carpenters in constructing and assembling structures.
• Operate hand and power tools; measure, cut, and shape materials.
• Install various ceiling types in residential and commercial properties.
• Install doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures according to design specifications.
• Repair and maintain existing structures, including fixing damaged or worn-out components.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

What We're Looking For:

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Proven track record of high-quality carpentry work, particularly in the residential construction sector.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address any challenges that arise.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering premium quality work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
• A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation.
