About the Role
We are seeking skilled Leading Hands and Civil Carpenters to join our team at Blokhaus in Alexandra. This role offers ongoing work across a range of civil and construction projects. You will be part of a professional team delivering high-quality workmanship on site, with opportunities for consistent work and career growth.
  
What You'll Be Doing

• Performing advanced carpentry and civil formwork tasks on site
• Collaborating effectively with team members and project managers
• Problem-solving and adapting to changing site conditions
• Using technology such as Procore for project management
• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and site layouts
• Carrying out general carpentry duties as required
• Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Working in all weather conditions and maintaining a safe site
• Following all health and safety requirements on site
• Maintaining a clean, professional work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a civil carpenter or formwork specialist
• Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate workflow on site
• NZ Carpentry qualification preferred but not essential
• Strong construction knowledge and site experience
• Proactive, forward-thinking, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Able to multitask, adapt, and pivot as project needs change
• Strong communication skills and a can-do attitude
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s licence essential
