About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and people-focused Recruitment Consultant with a background in construction, civil, or trades to join our growing team in Wellington. Your industry knowledge will help you understand client needs, identify suitable candidates, and provide high-quality workforce solutions across a range of construction and trade disciplines. This role starts early 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, attract, and interview skilled candidates across construction and trades roles.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle - from job brief to placement.
- Build and maintain strong work relationships with clients and candidates.
- Understand hiring needs through your knowledge of construction/trades job functions and site operations.
- Develop new opportunities and strengthen existing accounts within the construction sector.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal processes.
- Provide market insights and consultative advice to clients and candidates.
About You
- As this role will be heavily focused in construction roles, prior work experience (minimum 4 years) in either the construction or recruitment industries will be required
- Confident communicator who can engage effectively with workers, supervisors, and clients.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage a fast-paced workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable building relationships and representing the business professionally.
- Must have an outgoing personality and loves people interaction.
- No sales experience required - your industry background and people skills are what matter most.
