About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Car Mechanic to join our team in Wanaka. This role involves diagnostics, repairs, and servicing across a range of vehicles in a well-equipped workshop. You’ll play a key part in ensuring safe, high-quality workmanship and reliable vehicle performance for our customers.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnosing mechanical issues across petrol and diesel vehicles
• Performing routine servicing, maintenance, and WOF-related repairs
• Carrying out engine, brake, suspension, and transmission repairs
• Using diagnostic tools to identify faults and complete repair work efficiently
• Completing accurate job cards, reporting issues, and recommending repairs
• Ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
• Communicating with the team to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an automotive mechanic
• Trade qualification in Automotive Engineering (preferred but not essential)
• Strong diagnostics and problem-solving skills
• Experience with a variety of makes and models
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Full driver’s licence
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
