About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Drainlayer to join our team in Taupo. This role involves working across residential, commercial, and civil construction projects. You’ll be a key part of our site team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems to a high standard.

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing and maintaining stormwater and wastewater systems
• Laying pipes, fittings, and manholes according to plans and specifications
• Working with PVC, concrete, and PE pipe systems
• Reading and interpreting drainage plans and site layouts
• Operating machinery and hand tools to complete excavation and installation tasks
• Ensuring compliance with site safety standards and local council requirements
• Collaborating with site managers, civil crews, and other trades
• Conducting daily checks and maintaining a clean, safe work environment

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2–3 years’ drainage or civil construction experience
• Registered or Certifying Drainlayer (preferred but not essential)
• Strong understanding of drainage installation and repair practices
• Ability to read plans, levels, and project specifications
• Experience with trenching, pipe laying, and backfilling
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• WTR endorsements and Class 1 licence (Class 2 advantageous)
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices
