About the Role
We are looking for a Qualified Builder to join our expanding team in Christchurch. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting construction projects, including high-end architectural homes, residential builds, and small-scale commercial sites. You will be joining a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and a strong work ethic.

What You'll Be Doing

• Demolishing existing bathrooms, kitchens, and internal linings down to the framing
• Building new timber decks, paling fences, and deck structures from scratch
• Managing and executing building tasks from foundation to finish
• Reading and interpreting plans, architectural drawings, and specifications
• Coordinating with other trades on-site to ensure project deadlines are met
• Supervising apprentices or labourers as needed
• Ensuring all work complies with New Zealand Building Code and safety regulations
• Conducting site setups, structural framing, exterior cladding, and interior fit-outs
• Performing quality checks and maintaining a high standard of workmanship

What We're Looking For

• Trade-qualified builder (NZ Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience post-qualification
• Solid understanding of building methods and compliance requirements
• Strong ability to read plans and problem-solve on-site
• Reliable, self-motivated, and a good communicator
• Own tools and reliable transport
• Valid NZ driver’s licence
