About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Installer/Fabricator to join our team at Blokhaus in Otago. This full-time position involves the installation and fabrication of kitchen benchtops for residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for templating, measuring, cutting, and finishing benchtops to the highest standards, ensuring an exceptional customer experience every time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install kitchen benchtops, including templating, measuring, and finishing
• Cut and polish sink and cooktop openings for a clean, professional finish
• Read and interpret plans accurately to ensure precise fabrication and installation
• Maintain a strong problem-solving mindset and take pride in delivering high-quality work
• Communicate clearly with team members and customers, flagging delays or updates as needed
• Ensure professionalism and courtesy at all times to maintain a positive customer experience
• Work closely with team colleagues, meet project deadlines, and assist with training other staff if required

Additional Skills (Beneficial)

• CAD experience 
• Resin or stone finishing techniques
• Sealants and bonding methods

Required Experience & Attributes:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in benchtop installation/fabrication or similar trade
• Full driving licence 
• Physically fit and healthy (able to lift heavy items safely)
• Fast learner with a can-do attitude and excellent English comprehension
• Initiative, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
