About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Decorative/Vision Plasterer to join our team at Blokhaus in Christchurch. This role offers multiple opportunities, including working on residential, commercial, and architectural plastering projects. You will be an integral part of our skilled team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality finishes on a variety of buildings and properties.
 
What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing surfaces for plastering, including scraping, sanding, and priming
• Mixing and applying decorative plaster finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
• Creating and installing ornamental plaster features such as cornices, mouldings, and ceiling roses
• Ensuring high-quality, smooth finishes with attention to detail
• Working on a range of properties, from residential homes to commercial spaces
• Adhering to all health and safety guidelines while on-site
• Collaborating with other tradespeople to ensure projects run smoothly
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of relevant plastering experience
• Proficiency with plastering tools and equipment
• Experience with both interior and exterior plastering
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
• Experience with different plastering techniques (e.g., decorative mouldings, textured finishes)
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transport
