About the role
Blokhaus' is seeking an experienced Scaffolder to join our team. This role will be based across Canterbury. As a Scaffolder, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures to support construction and renovation projects.

What you'll be doing

• Erect, dismantle, and modify scaffolding structures in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations
• Inspect and maintain scaffolding equipment to ensure it meets safety standards
• Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other tradespeople to coordinate scaffolding activities
• Identify and mitigate potential safety risks on job sites
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior scaffolding team members
• Maintain detailed records of all scaffolding activities and equipment usage

What we're looking for

• Formal scaffolding qualification or equivalent training and experience
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Scaffolder, preferably in the construction industry
• Excellent knowledge of scaffolding techniques, safety protocols, and relevant regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
